Woodlands of Durris

PROJECT DETAILS

THE BRIEF

The family had been living in their detached home in Woodlands of Durris, Aberdeenshire for several years. Originally purchased as a former show home, the property came with a fully styled interior that, while beautifully presented, didn’t reflect their personality. They were ready to make the space truly their own.

They decided to approach the transformation gradually, refreshing one room at a time, beginning with their daughter’s bedroom. Our young client arrived at the design consultation brimming with ideas, drawing inspiration from the soft, playful colours of her beloved Squishmallow collection.

A key feature on her wish list was an up-and-over bunk bed she had spotted online. We designed a bespoke version tailored to the room, creating a practical sleepover solution without compromising valuable floor space. The layout was carefully considered to incorporate distinct zones for homework, hair and makeup, and reading, ensuring the room was not only beautiful but perfectly suited to her day-to-day life.

SERVICES

Bespoke design and detailed joinery drawings were produced for the custom-built bunk bed, alongside comprehensive interior design concepts, mood boards and space planning layouts. We managed the sourcing of furniture, soft furnishings and final styling elements to bring the scheme together seamlessly.

Verano Interiors oversaw the renovation process from start to finish, coordinating closely with skilled tradespeople and our trusted suppliers to ensure a smooth and beautifully executed result.
